What about Form I-130A, and the proof of your relationship? How do they ask for that?

Thanks in advance.

Also online of course. It's a guided process which tells you where to upload which document, when to pay etc. Plus you can create a draft which gets stored for up until a month (and extends whenever you safe an edit) so I recommend that you just get started and see for yourself, and come back with specific questions if you get stuck. There are also plenty topics about this already if you search for I-130 online filing.

I'm stuck in the "Current Employer History" section. It ask me to put my current employer, but it won't let me leave the "To Date" blank. It requires me to put some random date. Did anyone experience this issue?

Put today’s date

Thank you for the reply.

Is that what you did when you filed online? I'm kind of worried because that would give false information if I put the current date.

This is what the admin in our GC says.

@shefellfromheaven

Yep.. I did use current date ( date of filing). I don’t think 🤔 you can indicate a future date @Dante2019

@Mrs Stefano

@shefellfromheaven

Thanks for the info and your time to answer my questions.

It seems like there is a section where you can write them a message about certain parts of the online form. "Other Information" -> "additional information"

I wrote a message like this:

I couldn't put "Present" for the "Date To" section for my current employer, so I put the current date of when I submitted the form online. I still currently work for "Company X".

If there is a better way to write it, please let me know.

That‘s  a good idea. I did not give it much thought 😊😊😊like you’ve done since I figured they could get that info ( background checks) or ask for more verification ( should they need it).

I'm confuse with this part of the online filing section.

(Please look at image below) I'm guessing we have to get our passport picture taken, then scan to make a PDF file of that picture of that passport picture with our names on the back?

Usually you can request a digital version of your passport picture from the place that takes it.

yep, I added a photo of the back of the photo with name

Hello, Quarknase, thank you for the quick reply.

So I'm guessing you took a picture of the front of your passport picture and a picture of the back? Also, do you know what  an A-number is?

I also looked into the last part of the application (Additional evidence), and it seemed we need to show proof of these:

Religious Record
School Record
Census Record

Is this really required?
