I-134: Student Loans & Tax Return

Just had the NOA2 approved yesterday! Now we are looking at the next steps and I had a few questions about the I-134.

1. Do I need to disclose student loan debt on this form? My students loans are around $25k and I currently make about $32k/year so I'm wondering if this is something that could result in a denial?

2. I believe I may receive a promotion in the coming weeks. My salary will decrease by about $500/year but I will now be able to make $10k-$15k in commission a year. How would I report this on the form?

3. Should I use my dad as a joint sponsor? Or with my current salary and student loan debts should I be fine? (I also have a car loan that will take a few more years to pay off, around $8k left).

4. I didn't work in 2018 as I was a student, so I don't have any tax returns from that year. Is this ok? I don't believe I will receive tax returns for 2019 until after the interview.

forms do not ask for your debts / only salary

and your tax returns

if interview is before 15th of April it will be 2018 plus 2017 and 2016

if after it will be 2019 and 2 years before

In 2017 I only worked for a few months in an internship and in 2016 didn't work at all. I was still in college these years. Do I need to submit additional information if I don't have the tax returns for 2016? And in 2017 I obviously didn't make much since it was a summer internship...

tax returns are not needed for the I-134, only if you were self-employed.  what they want for the I-134 is bank account statements and evidence of current income, pay stubs, letter from employer.  Check the country-specific instructions if they want more than that.  The most recent US tax return and sometimes three years are not needed until the Adjustment of Status after marriage in the US, and the I-864.  You may be okay with $32K per year in current income but it would be a good idea to have a joint sponsor just in case, especially for the I-864 later in the process.  Good luck!
