I guess just wait for the NVC to post it off. (Soon I think) - decide whether to track it - or not.

Await letter from London Embassy.

I have drafted the DS-160 all ready to go.

Can I book a medical now?

Jabs are done.

Police report in hand.

If you have the case number you can go ahead and book your medical, but have you made sure all your vaccinations required are done before hand, it's very advantageous to do so if not, as it's a tad more expensive with Knightsbridge.

Have you also covered everything else that's going to be required of you for the medical and interview, Arco report, medical summary etc?

If you have then I would go ahead and book your medical, if not start on those, and try and give yourself 7 to 10 working days between your medical and interview if you can, it allows your medical enough time to get to the consulate and be applied to your case.  When your at Knightsbridge they should be able to tell you when they will have it at the consulate, as they did me, and best of luck

OR - should I wait?

You can’t book the interview yet until it’s at least in transit to the consulate.

The system won't let you in if it's too early. You can try it, but it will say your case number is incorrect or such as that. When everything internally is in place for your case, then you can get in the system to book. In general, London needs your file on their side of the pond.  Meanwhile set up the medical appointment and double check that you have all the documentation needed for medical and interview.
