Green card never surrendered

Parents went back to their country 16 years on a re-entry permit. ( we all had our green card ) . They never came back due to health reasons . Green card never surrendered. My husband and I are both citizens. He is working and I should be graduating in a year or so. I want to sponsor my parents for their green card so they can come live with us. They don’t have anyone else over there.  What can be done ?

File new petitions for both of them.   You are married so your husband will also be financially sponsoring them as a household member.

Note of caution, if they have stayed back all this time due to poor health, you should do some research to make sure healthcare costs for elderly people who already have health issues do not come as a big shock to your family. Between insurance and copays could be many thousands a year per parent.
