I don't disagree -- I try to be a force for good in the world. I listen to people I don't agree with, and try not to respond impolitely. I firmly believe in the saying, be the change you wish to see in the world. Having a kind word for others, turning down the heat, but also speaking up for injustice -- small things to do that can lead to a better place for us all.

On the other hand, I also think that love and kindness and patience are not the only solution. We need introspection and caution and a commitment to making tough decisions. Now, all of that can come from a place of love, but love can sometimes be too much from a place of emotion, and not enough from cool reflection.

Just my thoughts. My hungover thoughts at that!

With other's money, amirite?  Bless your heart AND your donations of your ex's money.

Straight bats are HARD to hold though.

Now batshit crazy, that is another story altogether...

Not sure you are holding the right bat?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Some of it is money I earned. And I feel no shame in spending my spousal support on whatever I feel like -- it was money he agreed to give me as compensation. Also, it's not just money I give -- I'm supposedly a kind and patient friend and a good listener, so there's that, plus volunteer work I do. And being a good person, showing compassion and kindness, is giving out what I want to receive as well. That's being a force for good, I think.

The Dems better hope that Bloomberg gets the nomination.  He is the only current candidate with any hope of beating Trump.  When I was back in my home town a few weeks ago...in south Arkansas, Bloomberg was saturating the airwaves with his ads.....

You do know that Bloomberg I'd investing in the Primary and not the General election, right?

compensation for what/ Did he hurt you at work. Automobile accident ?

Compensation for giving up my career. I'm starting again from nothing because he wanted me at home. And I had a certain standard of living he had gotten me accustomed to. He never hurt me physically, just mentally. The money was so that I could reestablish myself as a single person. No one made him sign the prenup. I hadn't even wanted one until my dad convinced me. As it turns out, I did better under the prenup than if we hadn't had one.

Anyway, checking out for a while as we head south. I'll see if Marianne Williamson is giving her talks again in Beverly Hills and I'll take a pic of the theatre she presents them in. See? I got back on topic! :P
