Hmm, the NOA1 is just to tell you that they’ve received your petition and issued you a receipt number (the IOE number).

Have you all received the hard copy letter for the online access code? We received only the NOA1 hardcopy but no signs of the other yet.

Mmm nope, the only thing we have it's the IOE number on a text message. We are waiting for the hard copy to find out our center and no e-mail yet. So again... is the IOE number the NOA1? I want to know so I can track our journey, thanks.

NOA1 is the letter (officially Form I-797C, Notice of Action). The text you got doesn’t have a name. You got it because you filled out form G-1145. The hard copy NOA1 will tell you to verify your information, give you your receipt number (which you already have from the text) and let you know which service center you were sent to. You will also receive an additional Form I-797C with your access code to create your online account.

So all in all, you should be receiving one text and two letters in the mail.

Hey everyone,

I received my I-797C today. Oddly enough I never received a text message or e-mail even though I included the G-1145. I got Texas and my online account says it's in process.

Even though I only gave them a copy of everything they sent back some documents to me, the copy of my marriage certificate being one, with a note saying that they wanted to give it back to me since it seems important (even though I stated it's just a copy).

Is that normal?

They also uploaded some of bonifide evidence to the web portal but not all of it. Should I be worried? I only see about half of the documents I submitted in total to the web portal.

Thanks!

You shouldn't worry. The Walmart photo album for bonafide relationship evidence for I, wife and son was sent back with letter indicating it was wrong format. They did not request me to send the right format except if I have questions call USCIS #. I called and the nice rep told me I shouldn't worry because everything was uploaded except the album because it was not in the format to upload to the IOE case process. She said everything is fine and case is in processing.  No extra photos should not be sent with request it might get lost. If the processing officer needs pictures he/she will request an RFE. She added that it is a habit of USCIS to return documents they do not need for processing. Most of they documents will only be required at the interview level.

I got both letters the same day in the mail about a week after I filed. I did not get any text or email for my I-130 even though I submitted the e-notification form. I did get a text only for the I-129 I sent in after a few days and then the official letter in the mail about a week after. The status online says to contact them if I don't get the letter by 9/21. so it could take about a month.  For those who are still waiting, I would call them if it's been about a month since you all sent your petition to them.

8/29 receipt date.

Are IOE case numbers processed faster?

IOE here. ☹️

It was fast in the beginning, but it may have slowed down compared to when they first rolled it out. Since you are in Nebraska, you should consider filing for K3, might speed up the process for your I-130. I just saw someone that had a PD in May 2019 and they did a K3 and just got approved. The K3 is being denied but then the I-130 is being approved faster for Nebraska. doesn't cost much and might help.

I would print a bunch of pictures on a sheet of paper and upload those when you are at the NVC stage so at least they have it before the case is sent to the Embassy. I submitted a few pages with my package to USCIS and will send again at NVC to make sure Embassy sees everything prior to interview since our Embassy has a high fraud rate, they are much stricter than others. You can even upload them in your document at USCIS, no guarantee they will look at them but they might.  Some people get RFE's for additional evidence that include pictures so in your case it might be a good idea to upload them.

My documents online only had about 4 pages out of my whole package but I hear that the end users don't see what is actually uploaded and it should be fine. I tried to upload a copy of my whole package but you have to do each item under a separate category and it can't exceed a certain size so I ended up not doing it. Good luck to you!

After over 2 weeks, my husband finally received a text notice! I was starting to think that our petition got rejected and needed to be re-filed!

Anyways, we also got an IOE receipt number, and now just waiting for the hard copies of the notice to find out which service center got our papers 🤞🏻
