Dude.. I've felt that since before my NOA1, probably since the day I got married!

I've put my life on complete pause, not finishing schooling until I'm in the US, not getting a permanent job, just doing temporary stuff in and out my trade. Just entirely focused on a life that I won't live for another year minimum. It's not frustrating though, cause I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm sure others feel the same.

I feel you. Same here.

BIG MOOD to feeling like life is on hold. I am the petitioner and it honestly does feel like I am just filling a void until he can move here. Everything is set too - his current employer has a US office he can transfer to, and I can’t move out of my mom’s place until he gets here (yay loans). It feels so funny living at home when I could move I guess, but as I recently returned to the US last November myself, I really didn’t see myself living here that long 😕 I’m trying to find new hobbies and to explore old interests but every day feels so slow

Is there any rhyme or reason to which office they send your case to? I put my address as New York but could I still end up in Nebraska?

No rhyme or reason. It's up the USCIS' needs. If they have too many people going to Texas, they send you to Potomac or Nebraska. I think they automatically just delegate it lol, thats why they workload transfer quite a bit.

I totally understand the way you feel and yes it's very hard to live your life without your special person but we need to stay positive cause we all are going to get approved we just have to wait a little bit and once we are with our partners we won't even remember how awful this experience was.   CHEER UP Y'ALL!!!

8pm eastern time sorry dont have the number on hand. Grats on the number.

I'm the beneficiary. Luckily for us my wife works from home so she is temporarily staying with me in canada while we wait so to be honest we are relaxed about the whole process. But just like everyone else we are putting pretty much our whole lives on hold until this is done. I'll be doing a career change when I get there too so will be big change coming my way in the next year.
