Just an observation, Potomac suddenly jumped from its initial 2.5- 7months duration to 13-15.5months.

As at last week, the present receipt date for case was february 19,2019,  now it jumped back to may 8, 2018.

Is this normal/ real Screenshot_20190923-130604.thumb.png.fc0e330c20d481ce93a397799d033acd.png

I am an alien and I will be going to the US this coming December to spend holidays with my USC husband. My form I-130 is already in process, can I stay in the USA with my husband under tourist visa while waiting for the approval of I-130? I am planning to go back in my country of reaidence once USCIS notified me about the approval of my Form I-130. Would that be possible?

Yeah, I have a tourist visa valid for 10 years and multiple entry. My concern is if I can stay there while waiting during the allowable stay as tourist? Won’t that affect my pending immigrant application if the officer will see that I spend months there?

Make sure you can show ties back to "home".  Don't overstay and stay less in the US then at home.

Even with the 10-years tourist visa, you will typically be allowed to visit for up to 6 months at a time. Do not overstay.

This is for those under Potomac Service Center...

I have been constantly checking the case processing time through https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ and basing on the receipt date for a case inquiry, they are currently processing January 23, 2019 for spouse of USC. Also, it changes every single day if you are browsing it everyday.

Hence, if your PD falls on August 2019 which happens to be mine, the time it becomes current is on April 2020.

This is just my humble observation. Just sharing it with you guys. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks and the waiting period for the approval of Form I-130 agitates me badly ;(

Dates are just moving up and down on the uscis timeline accross various service centers. I think the best thing is to check less often, program your mind to be alright and engage in some activities that will keep your mind away for now to ease depression.

One day, we'll all be with our love ones in Trumpland. 😊
