My fiancé and I are in the process of applying for the K1 visa. We just finished step 1 (the petition), so I'm now doing more digging into the interview part to be prepared well in advance.

My fiancé is the US citizen petitioner. He does make enough money, but it's complicated as he is a self employed professional billiards player. He has consistent sponsorship money coming in (but the sponsorship money alone doesn't get him to the required income), and made the required amount in 2018 and 2019, but I'm afraid they may not accept him as the sole sponsor due to the fact that he doesn't have a "consistent income". His father makes plenty enough to qualify, so I was going to have him be the joint sponsor just in case. Can anyone confirm whether the US Consulate in Montreal, Canada accepts joint sponsors for the K1 visa? And/or if I'm likely to need one given my fiancé's work history?

I thought I saw online that they do, but I can't remember where I saw this information.

Thanks!
