Anything you can do in between the USCIS and NVC stage?

Recommended Posts

Most people have a 6-12 month wait between these two stages. Wondering if there is something we can do now to ensure we don’t delay things further? Only thing I could think of was collect tax returns/get a police check.

Go here click on the tabs and get all your evidence. The only thing you can't get yet is the police report where you live now. If there are  police reports from other countries go get them now.
But for NVC you should at least have everything uploaded in a file on your PC and ready to upload to them.

3/31/2020: submitted service request for being pass normal processing time
4/7/2020: Card being produced
4/8/2020: Approved
4/10/2020: Card mailed
4/15/2020: 10 year green card received

5/21/2019: NOA1 Date
6/13/2019: Biometrics Appt
2/27/2020: Citizenship Interview
4/7/2020: In queue for Oath Ceremony to be scheduled

Correct.  Do not get current country police report until after petition approval.  In the meantime, study and prepare.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

What's the rationale for not getting the current country police certificate? Is that related to the certificate being expired?
