Hello all,

Hope you're having a great week! My husband and I filed our N400 in May 2019, and just received our visa interview request in Los Angeles for the end of this month. I made a mistake when I filed the N400- I had a tax payment plan in place with the IRS, which I thought I clicked on to explain, but when I reviewed the N400 several weeks later, I realized I had clicked "no" to any outstanding taxes. I immediately called USCIS, and they advised me to mail a tax transcript to the service center listed on my receipt, which I did, to prove I'd be making payments to the tax plan. This was months ago, so I have no idea if they have received that paperwork.

However, since I sent in that paperwork, I have paid off the tax balance in full. This is reflected on my online IRS tax transcript, but I worry that if I order a transcript in the mail, it will arrive later than our interview date. Has anyone else had similar issues, and if so, did they accept the printable tax transcript from your online IRS account in the place of the mailed transcript? They look *exactly* the same.

TLDR; can you bring an online printable IRS transcript instead of one they mail to you to the N400 interview?

Thank you!

If you order that transcript to be mailed to you, you might be surprised; they were really fast getting mine to me when I ordered one. Order it right away.  You can bring the printed one with you in case it doesn't come in time but I bet it will unless your interview is tomorrow or next week.

If you have documents to clarify/support your application like above, best way would be to upload them (scanned) anytime from your N400 application account. That way the case officers see it all together rather than Linking paper USPS mailed documents.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll upload it there.

Our interview is February 12th, so I'll definitely order today. Thank you so much!
