I applied for my dad’s i130 on Dec 12th, 2019. The case went to Nebraska SC, but haven’t heard a thing about his case. I was not even checking cause we thought it would at least take a year, but now that you all are hearing back I am starting to panic. Why haven’t we heard back anything. Should I call USCIS? :( 

You shouldn’t panic. Average time is about 8 months to a year for NSC. 
there are some approvals that happen faster, and I would say that just pure luck.

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

July 10th 2014 - NOA2

NVC

July 17th 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

July 30th 2014 - Case received by NVC

August 13th 2014 - Case number and IIN received by email

August 13th 2014 - DS-261 Form Completed

August 14th 2014 - AOS Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 17th 2014 - IV Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 19th 2014 - DS260 Completed

October 6th 2014 - AOS and IV Packages Received

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.

February 6th 2015 - Case Complete: Supervisor called from NVC to confirm everything has been completed now.

March 27 2015 - Interview Date

March 27 2015 - Approved!

Me too! Applied late Dec and nothing escept a receipt for online payment! Getting worried too seeing as how others who applied much later are already approved. My receipt shows Potomac center.

My receipt shows Nebraska, but I think all the cases were transferred to other SCs. I didn’t get any notification though. 
Potomac should be faster so that is good. 
I will kep you posted if I hear something.

Filed for mom and step dad on Jan 4. NSC. 
mom got approved today. 
Step dad is still pending. His case was updated on April 2 with “in process” message. 
 

My moms dates changed on May 4 and may 11. and right now I got a notice it was approved today (May 12). 
 

I hope everyone’s gets approved soon!

couldnt edit my post but just wanted to update that initially both the cases went to Texas service center, not NSC

 

and the approval notice for my mom came from vermont service center. 

 

I wonder if applying online makes any difference for processing time, especially due to COVID 19, especially due to shelter in place orders.

I checked yesterday and it wasn’t approved but today I got the approval notice and the document section has the letter. 
although the letter is dated from yesterday. 
so I guess one day?

I am so excited. I have been checking on my moms case for weeks and there was no update up to last night. Logged in tonight and it says my case is approved. 

Priority date: January 22nd

Service Center: Potomac

NOA2: Just checked Approved not sure what date the notice will say.
