do we need to purchase private insurance even before submitting petition for parents green card and keep it until they get visa from embassy?

how much should be income to petition parents for green card I live in Florida?

No. You wlll be required to demonstrate capacity to avoid the beneficiary becoming a public charge .. which might include the ability to purchase identified insurance once they arrive .. as well as other evidence required as the sponsor. Income minimum is 125% of poverty line for your household plus immigrant. This is the minimum. The interviewing officer can require whatever they determine necessary after reviewing the application

My wife filed for her parents in December 2019. Her father just got approved this morning and NVC sent her the welcome email this evening. I was shocked at how quick it was. Original Service center was Nebraska. Approval letter was sent out by Potomac. So I guess it was transferred without our knowledge. No updates on the Mother yet.

Read some fake news on Facebook saying Trump is signing a law to forbid sponsoring parents...

Anyone knows anything about this news?

Hope it’s fake!..:(

That turned out to be true, just hoping that it will not become permanent ban.

Ify ou log in to your uscis account and see where it is written the case is received and under review, right on top of it you will see the date.

For it to change, you will have to monitor your acct on a regular basis.

Hope i answered your question

Hello, do you have any updates for the Mother’s case? I files both for parents last february and it was originally sent to Nebraska, then on April 24 I got an approval for my Mother’s case and it didnt know it was changed to Potomac center but I have not received any update re my Father’s case.

Not yet Mary. I submitted a missing document inquiry hoping that it triggers some sort of action. I will keep you all posted. I will probably call USICS next week for an inquiry.
