Hi Guys, I did inquiry online and USCIS replied that they are transferring my mothers case to my city field office. is it normal?

 

The status of this service request is:

Recently, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning the status of your case.

Your case is currently being transferred to Saint Louis Field Office for review. You do not need to do anything at this time. If we need anything from you, we will mail you a request for evidence. When we make a decision on your case, we will mail a notice to you or your representative at the address you gave us.

Please note that our processing times at www.uscis.gov/processingtimes are general estimates. Individual processing times vary. If we send you a request for evidence, your case will take longer. It's important to follow instructions carefully and submit a complete application the first time.

We know that waiting can be difficult and we are committed to processing cases as quickly as possible.

Looks like reviews have come to a halt. My RFE hasn’t been reviewed and it’s been two months 

USCIS

January 8th 2014 - NOA1

July 10th 2014 - NOA2

NVC

July 17th 2014 - Case shipped to NVC

July 30th 2014 - Case received by NVC

August 13th 2014 - Case number and IIN received by email

August 13th 2014 - DS-261 Form Completed

August 14th 2014 - AOS Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 17th 2014 - IV Fees Invoiced and Paid

September 19th 2014 - DS260 Completed

October 6th 2014 - AOS and IV Packages Received

November 28th 2014 - AOS and IV Checklist (4 items in total. 3 for documents they lost. Called on December 9 and a rep said no checklist for IV....go figure)

December 8th 2014 - Checklist scan date.

December 30th 2014 - Case Compl........NOT. So after not having an interview date yet, I called again on Jan 30th and apparently its in final review with a supervisor.

February 6th 2015 - Case Complete: Supervisor called from NVC to confirm everything has been completed now.

March 27 2015 - Interview Date

March 27 2015 - Approved!

3. Biometrics in Hong Kong or they come to the US for biometrics?

4. Interview notice

5. Interview in hong kong or US?

 

No need for biometrics when you do the initial filing.

the approval is a case to case basis. And Yes, the ban is still implemented until dec.31,2020 depends if it’s going to be extended. 
 

they are just processing the approvals but no interview schedule yet coz of the ban.

Thanks. Even the first approval is taking forever. Almost a year for me now. I understand the embassy's have stopped processing immigrant visas but the uscis approval is taking ridiculously long. Not seeing many people on here with updates either so assume this is fairly common now. Hopefully they speed things up soon!
