Alhumdulillah Case Approved for my parents

PD: Jan 29 2020

Texas SC

Approved on 08/19/2020

Congratulations!!! I’m still waiting for ky dad.

PD: January 08,2020

CSC

I did an online inquiry for outside normal processing time but they said that the IO is still reviewing it and will just mail a letter when a decision is made.

Note:

I sent a message a month ago thru my USCIS account they said that my dad’s petition is at Texas Service Center. Then I called the USCIS on August 9, they said it’s in California. So idk where. but regardless if it’s in TSC or CSC, it’s outside of normal processing time.  The last action taken made was on June 23,2020.

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I was on a K-1 Visa on 2014.

Thank you 😊

Unsure whether the USCIS got glitched again? in the last few day, I checked cases moved to Jan 19; but now it's just Jan 09. How weird!!! Moreover, your case was submitted on Jan 29 and it has been approved already...

I mean they new “public charge”  form. Is form i944. Which is almost impossible to pass.

From what a read in the website. The form i99 will weight more that the affidavits of support(i864).

Congratulations! That was fast! I thought vermont has a long processing timeframe. Because my father’s case was transferred to vermont and it says on the website normal processing is up to 27 months

Congratulations! The fact that they are working on IR-5 cases gives me hope that they will resume the interviews for them in January and ban will not be extended.

can someone explain to me what the process are for I-130 for my mother? she is overseas in Hong Kong and she doesn't speak english.

Can I go with her for biometrics and interview since she doesn't speak english?? Also, do I have to go back to Hong Kong for the biometrics and interviews since she is not in the US??

Below are the timeline I gather from reading this thread (please feel free to correct me if they are wrong):

1. File I-130 online

2. Biometrics notice

3. Biometrics in Hong Kong or they come to the US for biometrics?

4. Interview notice

5. Interview in hong kong or US?

This is my understanding of the process:

1. File I -130

2. After I-130 is approved the case will be transferred to NVC. You will be given credentials to log in and after paying the fees you will upload tax transcripts,  affidavit of support, birth certificates, police clearance certificate, and some move civil documents along with ds-260 application for your mom.

3. NVC will review submitted documents and if everything is correct the case will become Documentarily Qualified.

4. NVC will send DQ case to the embassy (in your case to HK embassy)

5. Embassy will schedule an interview

6. Your mom will need to complete a medical exam by a designated clinic prior to the interview. Biometrics will be done on the day of the interview I think.

Anyone here got RFE? Usually, how long you hear from them after submitting their request? Got for rfe as my birth was being late registered 😞

There is no fixed time. It could take them from days to months to review the RFE.

Good luck
