Some ROC goes through interview stages. Have you ever been interviewed within the country recently? Some people get bye after the adjustment interview while some still go through multiple stages of interview. I guess with USCIS no one really knows their parameters for decisions they make.

Good luck with your interview......

I was interviewed 2 yrs ago for my AOS in Chicago but I agree, no one really knows with uscis 😐

And meanwhile back at Potomac....crickets, not seeing any movement from anyone in Potomac.  We did complete the N-400 filing so on the USCIS website they are giving us a July date for that but I believe that to be fake news.

Yes I’m Potomac and getting the N-400 application together. Did you provide the same amount of supporting information as with your ROC? As for the ROC I’ve heard nothing since fingerprints accepted in May.

LIN filer dated 3/5/20

Case Status as of now -

"Case Received".

If you are waiting for updates then you are not alone!! Hopefully cases move quick. I already had an interview for AOS so hoping for a smooth sail this time. Good luck all!

I am LIN and my case was received March 6th, a day after yours and it still says 'case was received.' I don't mind the waiting, I'm just curious as to what happens when it reaches the 18 month extension period without any movement?

We gotta make an infopass appointment and then have to get our passport stamped with another one year extension!!

Are you planning to apply for N 400?

I think I will wait until ROC is completed.

Hello everyone, I would like ask a question about the biometric appointment. Since I got my receipt and I never get biometric appointment. Is it something wrong or I have to wait ? (I-751 )Thanks friends

You have to wait, USCIS might reuse your previous biometric as they do in some cases. There is nothing wrong with your case. USCIS is super backed up with cases.

Waiting is the second 'unofficial' name of USCIS.

Do any of you know how to circumvent the USCIS autobot to talk to an actual service representative?

When the autobot asks how he or she may help you, simply say “technical problem” , then the second time say technical support. Every time I try it, I always speak with a representative within a minute.

I updated the information I sent for ROC with more current files. I had to submit previous marriage information, divorce information and information regarding past spouses. If you file online, based on how you answer questions they will actually tell you what information is necessary and you upload it online. It was easy except for the 725.00 part, that was the most difficult.

Thanks! That’s good to know. Yes, the cost is always the real kicker. Still, one more time for Uncle Sam 🙂

The reason we applied for her Naturalization was I have seen they complete both interviews at the same time and we just wish to be done with this. You can't have citizenship without ROC. If in fact it happens that way we will be glad to be finished with USCIS. Obviously, we are approaching a year for ROC. Trying to make infopass appointments still requires making phone call, holding for 45 minutes and then possibly having them tell you they will need to call you back, and god forbid you dont receive that call. It used to be easier when you could schedule online.

Really odd how your case progressed, where mine is stuck at 'Case Received,' when you applied 2-3 weeks later than me at LIN. Happy for you though, congrats!

No one really understand USCIS and how cases are processed. It's a case by case uniqueness. IMO, i think it still depends on the case officer assigned to each case.
