Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of May 07, 2020, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number SRC2090XXXXXX, at our location.

Received emails and text messages from egov.uscis.gov and my.uscis.gov.

I guess they reused my fingerprints from before. I have not had biometrics. I travelled internationally in Feb 2020. Many cases around me got the same update.

Do you all have SRC numbers? Mine is YSC. I’ve heard nothing as yet. Not exactly hitting the panic button, just curious 🙂

Oh wow our timeline is off by a day. My case was picked up on 19th. But I also have an update that on May 7th fingerprints were taken. But the weirdest thing is that on my USCIS account it shows as Case Was Received and on “check my application status”  fingerprints were taken. And I never received any messages on my email or phone

That Great!

Have you done biometric in the past through K1 (fiancee filing for Temporary Permanent Residence) or  your first biometric  was when you traveled in February?

USCIS updated its biometric policy.

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-response-covid-19 then look for Application Support Center (ASC) Appointments and Rescheduling

  • While biometric services (or other authorized collection sites) are temporarily suspended and/or operations are at reduced capacity, USCIS will reuse biometrics that were previously captured at the initial USCIS in-person appointment under certain circumstances and only when specific requirements are met. USCIS will reuse biometrics if:
    • USCIS is otherwise ready to adjudicate the open application, petition, or benefit request but cannot proceed solely due to the lack of current biometrics;
    • The individual previously submitted fingerprints and a photograph at an ASC (or other authorized collection site);
    • There is an exact A-file number, name, and date of birth match between the pending filing and the previous filing from which the biometrics were collected; and the individual:
      • Was scheduled for an ASC appointment that was canceled since the temporary closure of ASCs on March 18, 2020,
      • Is unable to schedule an ASC appointment (or appointment for biometrics collection at an embassy or consulate, where applicable); or
      • Filed a benefit request with an associated biometrics requirement after March 18, 2020.

If these requirements are met, a biometrics appointment is not required. This will remain in effect during the COVID-19 pandemic and will automatically expire on Sept. 1, 2020, unless expressly extended by the USCIS deputy director for policy.

Hence, the massive May 7 update across the board that Fingerprint review was complete.

This makes it implicit that there would be no biometric appointments till Sept 1, 2020.
