Hi all. I have decided to file the I-751 jointly with my wife, even though we are getting divorced. See this thread for more on that. I was wondering if anyone had submitted evidence of a bona-fide relationship covering the period before the alien's entry into the US? The reason I ask is that my wife and I lived happily together in Scotland for a year before we moved to the US. The USCIS would surely recognise that going through the nightmare of getting a UK spousal visa for my wife and then living together for a year in Scotland is not the route I would have taken if I was just after a green card. Anyway, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

Here's the list of evidence I plan to submit with my I-751:

2005 joint tax returns

A couple of bank statements showing that we had a joint account

Evidence that we were both insured under my father-in-law's car insurance policy

Photographs of us together (including one of my wife's tattoo of my family tartan on her wrist (that has to count for something, right?!?))

Photographs of me with my wife's family (I love my nieces)

Medical insurance cards with both our names on them

Copies of our drivers licenses showing the same address

Affadavits from 2 or 3 friends and relatives from my wife's side of the family

Affadavit from my father-in-law stating that we lived with him for a year (this is why we have no deed or utility bills in our names)

Copies of Christmas cards addressed to us both (if I can find some)
