Hi,

My Mother was recently approved for a Green Card via the consulate process. We have paid all the green card fees and so on, however once she enters the US how long will it be before she receives her green card in hand?

Thanks,

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you for the response.

So her SSN card would come automatically without having to go to the office?

It should arrive automatically IF she marked the box on the DS-260 to receive a SS card.

How long did it take for Consular processing? I just submitted 130 for both my parents yesterday, they are in Jamaica as well.
