After the accusations made previously I have no intent of checking out the geography of the greater LA area.

I'm not sure which accusations you mean but Santa Monica is on the west side, right on the ocean. We're within walking distance ourselves, very much looking forward to beach yoga which I guess Meghan can do if she moves there too.

(See how I brought it back to topic? I am working on being better about this.)

Poop zones?

Cultural sites, definitely.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Not too much in Santa Monica, especially in my neighborhood which is kind of touristy and full of rich people with a lot of time on their hands to complain to the cops. Are there homeless people there? Yes. But the real issues are a mile or so down the coast in Venice. Santa Monica is a wealthy city, with more resources to tend to "moving along" the homeless down to LA, for better or worse. I had thought about moving there but I just thought that for the same price, I could live somewhere cleaner and closer to work for Alex.

As for cultural sites there, can I recommend the Camera Obscura? https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/camera-obscura-santa-monica

I'd steer clear of Tongva Park on Ocean Ave near the Metro station if you're seeking to avoid the homeless in SM. If you're north of Montana, I seriously doubt you'll see anyone making south of $100k p.a. anyway unless they're the help.

Where would you recommend two ladies in their 30's, one with a small child, could hang out?

I have no issues with two young and disillusioned persons that seem happily married, wanting to break away from a dysfunctional parasitic family and make their own lives. It sounds like they had started asking about doing stuff last year, and they were fobbed off by the 'machine'. When I say machine, I mean the insiders that run and advise on a daily basis, and deny access at times. It is those persons who have often caused great problems and harm to the institution. It seems like they were tired of being ignored on the subject and realized, unless they played hardball, things would not get moving, and they would be forever 'stuck'. Still, it is incredibly rude not to find some way to tell your own grandmother what you intend to do, and not understand that while you don't care about your position in life or the family complex, your position has afforded you the ability to do things us peasants could never dream of.

The largest problem for Harry and the Queen, is the Regency Act. The boy has mandated legal responsibilities, that if he leaves and is cut off from everything has status entails, throws the line of succession into question. We commonly think ''oh who cares, Harry is like sixth in line now so he's not important'', but he actually holds an important position in case something should happen either to the Queen, or Charles, or whomever is the next monarch, and especially in the event something happens to William. If something happened to William, it is not Kate that would rule in his stead or have any authority, especially if the children not be of age yet. A Regent must rule, and guide the future monarch until they are of age - and that position falls to Harry.

Local actress successfully deprograms member of hereditary cult

Prince_Harry_and_Meghan_Markle_on_Christ

LONDON – Meghan Markle, an actress best known for her role on the USA network series Suits is now adding another role to her CV: deprogrammer.

“Extracting a cult member is notoriously difficult, managing to do it after joining the cult itself is almost unheard of,” says cult expert Joanie Gorski. “This is one for the history books. Or at least several dozen podcasts.”

The Cult of Windsor, which in its current form dates back to 1917, is known for being insular and territorial. Along with documented instances of incest and the grooming of teenage brides, accusations of pedophilia have also recently been leveled against a highly placed member of the organization.

I love how this thread has gotten to three pages when none of us care very much about what happens to some rich people who live abroad.
