Hi,

I attended my biometrics appointment for I-485 and I-765 yesterday and from what I've read on the forums, I'd now be able to ask for my EAD to be expedited if I met the right criteria. I just had a couple of questions.

1) My case status hasn't changed on both the old and the new sites for my I-485 and I-765 (Fingerprint fee was received/We received your case for I-485, Case was received/We received your case for I-765); is this supposed to be updated after my biometrics appointment?

2) I know that I can apply for jobs at the minute (but not actually work until I have the EAD in hand); what is the best way to bring up my status about awaiting EAD and the possibility of an expedite when it comes to the application process/interviews?

Many thanks,

R

finger prints are not needed for I-765.  I-765 can get approved without finger prints. Case should get updated in the next couple of days

You can try expedited based on a job offer. Just be transparent about your status with employers.

131 does not need fingerprinting. 765 does.
