Ukrainian passenger plane with 180 people on board crashes in Iran

I think it's very improbable that it's a total coincidence it just so happens the same night Iran attacks US bases, a plane goes down(a pretty rare event). My conclusion is it was shot down. Now, who shot it down and why? I am guessing the Iranians, but not intentionally. They likely expected a US retaliation and had their anti-aircraft units on high alert, misidentified this plane, and shot it. Kinda reminds me of the Russian plane that was taken down by Syria(although it wasn't civil aircraft in that case) after an Israeli attack a while back.

Pretty effing hard to misidentify a mode-4-squawking passenger plane.
