Did you originally have an interview scheduled before the embassy was closed?

No I did not. Got DQ’d on May 14th. When they start rescheduling the ones that were canceled, I’ll be hopeful mine will come soon too.

The embassy just updated their announcement with the changes, but still no date for resuming routine visa services.

Oh is the embassy rescheduling IR/CR interviews for August as mission critical visas? That's great news!

I'm trying to figure out what the quarantaine situation is with the airport reopening next week, if I can manage a visit...

I would like to know also. Are they scheduling IR1/CR1? And are they open at all?

I scheduled it myself for August when they cancelled the July appointments.

Did you schedule yourself or did they do it for you?

This is good, I hope and pray all goes well.

Keep us posted.

Thanks.

I am CR1 so they schedule it for me. I think only fiancé visas can schedule their own interviews, right?

No, I am doing the spouse visa also but I originally had an interview date before the embassy shut down, so I was able to reschedule myself.

Oh that’s actually great. I’m guessing it’s the initial appointment you can’t schedule yourself then?
