I have tried to call several times but they never responded. They basically forwarded my calls to a voice Mail that repeat the same answer again and again.  What I don’t understand is there are some people who have been DQed around March, April 2021 and they already got there interview. No one knows why it takes a year to just schedule an interview in Dakar specifically for IR1/CR1. They keep saying it’s because of the backlog, but I feel they just picking by whatever metric they want. The embassy in Dakar does not care about immigration visa, they prioritize Non Immigration visa because those applications bring more money to the embassy. Try to send an inquiry that can be found from NVC website and wait for a month or so to get an answer.

You don’t need to call them! in other countries like pakistan people who got documentarily qualified on December 2019 are still waiting for an interview!! in dakar embassy for IR1/CR1, IR2, IR5… The waiting is now 1 year after Documentarily qualified. My friend passed his interview on august 4 2021, stil DQ on july 29, 2020. it’s because of this backlog. All you have is wait. Several calls can affect your case.

Most likely  you’ll receive an interview letter between September/October 2021
