Has anyone heard anything about K1visas? My case has been at NVC since April 2020. When I contacted the embassy they say they are waiting for NVC to ship cases when I talked to NVC they say that the embassy is not processing those cases.  I know they are processing cases that were already there before the lockdown.

We got our interview date for Feb 16. But the wife baby is due mid March. We may have to postpone until May. We are not sure it safe with all the vaccinations and xray to the baby and her passport expires that same week. Even then, i doubt she will be abe to travel.
We are still undecided what to do.

 Hi there

I am in the same situation. So frustrating. I have my state Senator helping me but both embassy and NVC give false information. The embassy in Dakar said to the Senator they had recently received a bunch of K-1 applications they were gonna processed within two months... (not true) and when you contact NVC they will tell you no case hasn’t moved yet as the embassy hasn’t notified them on K-1 visa resuming...

so frustrating. K-1 visa is classified “high priority”. They cannot hold them back.

One of friends is in the process of getting her fiancé’s medical and pay the fee but her case was there before the shutdown. When is your NOA2?

My NOA2 is dated June 23, 2020.
Can you please advise on when your friend’s fiancée got her NOA2? Before or after lockdown?

Her NOA 2 was in February before the lockdown.

That’s probably why. The embassy in Dakar is working on the backlog of cases that were sitting there before the lockdown.  Please keep us posted if you hear any news.

I would like to ask everyone to please complete your timeline. Those of us following behind would like to have some kind of reference of case movement. Our countries seems to be a minority in most immigration forums so it would very helpful since we are such a small community. Thank you!!

I have fiancé visa case. It’s a bit different from the spousal ones. We don’t do dq. All our justificative papers are to be shown at the embassy during interview
