You have to bring a new BC and police certificate because it’s over due. They can last only 6 months or 3 months like that.

If you don’t mind me asking. Was this appointment rescheduled or this is your first appointment? And is it CR1/IR1 or K1?

No it’s my first time and it’s IR1

Police certificate is good for one year. It's mentioned on the consulate site but I don't have the link right now. I assume the same is true for a birth certificate, or that it never expires. They don't usually change...

Hi, I received an email from the Embassy in Dakar instructing me to schedule an interview. I have a few questions. Perhaps someone here can help me:

1. I was given the location of three doctors in Senegal who perform the medical. According to travel.state.gov there is also a doctor in Gambia who performs the medical. My fiance is in Gambia. Is she able to go to the doctor in Gambia to perform the medical?

2. According to the instructions given to me by the embassy my fiance is required to be vaccinated. According to travel. State.gov one can receive a K-1 Visa without being vaccinated. Vaccination is only required at the time of adjusting status in the US. Does anyone have experience with this situation? I'm not sure that all of the vaccinations required are available in The Gambia.

3. According to the instructions I have to pay for the interview at a participating ecobank in Senegal. Ecobank also has locations in Gambia. Is it not possible to make the payment at an Ecobank location in Gambia?

Thanks

Congratulations 👏 Lawkev you're almost there!

l am not an expert in this platform. However, regarding your 3 questions l would advise you to follow the process as instructed. For any further information contact directly the ambassy in Dakar they are the only one that can authorize any changes.

Lawkev! Do you mind telling us with specific dates if your interview was previously canceled then rescheduled? I am DQ September trying to see when should I get an appointment 🤔

Thanks and good luck!

I'm already on it! I sent these questions to the authorities and I am awaiting a response. I never had an interview scheduled. I'm not one of those who had an interview cancelled and is now rescheduling the interview. The last correspondence I had was from the national visa center saying that my visa was going to be forwarded to the embassy Dakar. The interview date that I have been given is January 5th providing that I pay for the Visas by November 24th. I did not expect to be called at this juncture because they were calling people who had canceled appointments. They are moving faster than I expected. I received an email from the national visa center on March 31st. Hope that helps. Can anyone direct me to a thread on this site that goes with green card holders bringing their children to the US?

Thank you
