Guys!!!! It looks like things are beginning to move in the embassy. They are resuming in-person appointments starting with renewal of US passports. I honestly think this is a positive sign.

Oh wow. That’s strange because they always have appointments open for the following month when they cancel. Maybe they’re planning to reach out to reschedule like other embassies have been doing.

The calendar is open again with a few dates in January...

Oh wow! So they really closed these coming months till January? Well I hope that means they’ll start interviewing in January then.

Who knows! But it seems the other consulates have been reaching out to reschedule the cancelled march and April appointments, so I hope Dakar won't just let it be a free-for-all when they reopen...

Or maybe November and December will be for rescheduling cancelled appointments. Fingers crossed, I guess!

Yes. I did mention that here before that other consulates were reaching out to reschedule. Was yours canceled before?

And also, if you look at the visa statistics, you can tell that they’ve been holding interviews based on the number of visas issued.

Exactly,  when I saw that they issued visas for August,  I felt much better, knowing that they working but at a much slower pace.

Hopefully they will reach out to those that got cancellations.
