supporting documents

hey everybody!

im about to obtain all the necessary documents which pertain to my case! i also need to hand in an evidence of support, better to say, i need to submit a I-134 affidavit of support at my interview!

now the question is which supporting documents are really needed?

do i have to have a letter of the sponsors employer? if so, what else needs to be on that letter except for the hiring date, the position and the salary? does it need to be on company letter head?

do i need the most recent pay stubs? how many should the sponsor send me?

are tax returns really needed? if so how many?

is there anything else i need to have for the affidavit?

hope someone can help me out!

Supporting Evidence from Insturction of I-134

The sponsor must submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate:

A.Statement from an officer of the bank

or other financial institution where you have deposits,

giving the following details regarding your account:

1. Date account opened;

2. Total amount deposited for the past year;

3. Present balance.

B. Statement of your employer on business stationery,

showing:

1. Date and nature of employment;

2. Salary paid;

3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

C. If self-employed:

1. Copy of last income tax return filed; or

2. Report of commercial rating concern.

D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of

bonds and name of record owner(s).

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I INCLUDED AND IT WORKED FOR ME

WHAT I DID NOT INCLUDE AND THEY ASKED FOR EVEN THOUGH I AM NO SELF EMPLOYED WERE MY LAST 2 YEARS OF TAX FORMS

so how did you deal with them wanting tax return which you didnt have at the time of the interview? were you scheduled for a new interview at a later date or were you able to sent the missing stuff and then get your visa?

this affidavit thing is making my stomach hurt so much!
