Hello. I'm Venezuelan and I'm trying to get a F2A Visa. Me and my family have lived in the US since I was 11 years old, but I lived there illegaly, and so did my parents for a while. As soon as my parents became lawful permanent residents, we applied for the F2A visa. It took a couple of years,  but I finally got my I-601 waiver approved and got my interview date. Issue is that the interview would be in Bogota, Colombia, not Venezuela, since the Embassy in Venezuela was closed down due to political turnmoil, and now all Venezuelan cases have been transferred to Bogota. I had my interview on October 24th, 2019, and I was surprised when my interviewer told me that my family just didn't make enough money to support me financially and that I needed to find a sponsor to be able to support me. I left my passport with them and within the week, I had my new sponsor's documents all sent in to the embassy. Ever since then my case has been going through AP, and it has been pretty tough. I don't live here in Colombia, and I don't have any friend or family to stay with, so I've had to go and move from Airbnb to Airbnb on a weekly basis, always hoping that the next week is the one in which we'll get our response. The worst part is that we don't know if the response will be a good one or a bad one, but until then I'm just supposed to sit here and do nothing, and not having a window of time in which it'll be ready leads us to waste money on renting apartments for a week or two, when I could've easily rented an apartment for two months at this point and saved a bunch of money. According to them, my family doesn't make enough money, but now my family is digging themselves into a worse financial hole every day that I have to stay here, sending me money for a place to stay and food. I wish I could help somehow, but I'm not even Colombian and I can't work here. I know the embassy is overloaded with cases from both Venezuelans and Colombians, so everything is taking a little longer, but this has been a really difficult situation for me and my family, and I was wondering if there is something we could do to expedite the case.

I'm also protected by CSPA at the moment but I don't know how much longer my protection is going to last, and that worries me too.

Well there is no expedite for AP, you can contact the Consulate and see if things can get moving, you can also ask for your Passport to be returned.

Even with her passport back I’m not sure she’ll be permitted to re-enter the states at this time

Yup, that's the whole thing, even with my passport back, my family is in the US and I can't go back. I'd rather leave it with the embassy if it meant things went a little faster.
