Hello all,

I've been reading through the forums as my fiancé and I are quickly approaching our NOA2.

There has been a lot of conflicting information within the forums and the consulate page (https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Canada&cty=Montreal) as to whether the petitioner is allowed to accompany the beneficiary into the embassy.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance!

The Montreal consulate moved to a different address (I think in early November 2019).  The letter we received from them in October said that a citizen could attend the interview, however when I got there for the interview in December the petitioner could not attend.  This apparently was because the place they moved to was smaller and could not accommodate the extra people.  The petitioner also is not allowed to wait on the street so I waited at the coffee shop up the block.
