CR1 TO IR1 lets just say my 2nd anniversary will be in 5 weeks . Is it worth waiting to Avoid condition removal process ? (dont mind fee) 
i130 and nvc stage is really frustrating .
What does this condition removal  process is like ? please share your opinions

What really matters is when you enter the US. Even if you have a CR-1 visa, if you enter on it after the 2 year marriage anniversary, you would enter with IR-1 status and get a 10 year green card.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

My opinion is that the immigrant should enter the US after the marriage is 2 years old if it is convenient....It will result in a 10 Green Card......My wife entered the US 30 prior to our 2nd wedding anniversary.  I wish she had waited another month.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Personally, I would unless you really need to travel immediately.  The ROC process is not super hard, but it is a pain, and with five weeks, I would wait and skip that step.

Definitely wait. Removal of conditions takes a long time and life is a little more frustrating during removal of conditions because you have no valid green card. 

Cateogory: CR1

  • NOA1/Notice of receipt: Sept. 15, 2015
  • NOA2/I130 Approved: February 8, 2016 (NO RFE) :)
  • Process slowed down by us
  • Sent documents to NVC: April 11, 2016
  • Scan date: April 14/ May 7th (NVC said both I dont know why)
  • Case Complete: May 31, 2016 (No checklist) :dancing:

August 17, 2016: Visa Approved!!!! :dancing:
