Hi everyone,

I got my NVC case number 2 weeks ago in mail.

Till now I haven't received any mail or call from my local US embassy regarding any packet or appointment letter to be picked up that indicates how to proceed further.

I checked online and found that NVC states my case is in "READY" status.

Should I go ahead and fill up the DS 160 form online, pay visa fee and schedule my interview?

Should I wait for any correspondence from my local US embassy?

Do they even contact the beneficiary or send any notification letter at all?

P.S. -

My K1 case expires in Feb 13 2020. That is, 4 months complete from USCIS approval date.

Hi Hank_

It is India

Great.  Now update your profile and timeline with this info

Not sure on the process for India.

Embassy can extend the NOA2 validity for up to 1 year.
