That being said his whole monologue and behavior here is not some great moment of clarity or 'pwning' anyone, it's always been his shtick. He'd just as soon rip every side an uncomfortable new one, then shrug and say he really doesn't actually care about the subject he's mocking. 

It was FAR from lame.  It was a comedic parody of what is really going on in America today.  About as accurate as a sniper with a scope,  IMO.

So you think it's FAR from lame, but other people think it's lame. Isn't that merely a matter of taste/preference/opinion? I mean, you even say "IMO" so it's an opinion, right? 

 

I just thought it was boring. I would be glad to see other awards shows -- since we are going to have them whether we like them or not -- go the way of the Oscars and have no host. Just my... opinion.

It sounds like you are referring to the awards show itself (which I have never viewed in my entire lifetime), whereas I was referring to the comedian's making fun of so many various groups of people.  Funny because it is accurate.  Sad for the same reason
