Cr 1 case update date change

Hello everyone

my case is in us embassy Islamabad. My interview was on 23 oct 2019 since then my case is in AP . They updated the case twice, and only date was changed but status is still administrative processing. Does anyone know how many times usually they update the date before issuing the visa ?

There is no number of times...it could 2, 3 10, or 100......Administrative Processing can not be estimated accurately.......just need patience because extended AP in Pakistan is common.

Does that mean they are progressing my case ? Or they are just looking at it ??

In my opinion, it could mean either.........AP is just very unpredictable.......

People on here have said that 3 consecutive updates means an issuance of a visa but ours has updated 3 times in a row twice and we are still in AP.      Every case is different every result has a different sequence trying to figure it out will just drive you crazy...

 

Were you told you visa would be issued?  Were you sent a questionnaire to fill out?  The result of your interview "may" help figure out if your AP will be extensive but not always the case.

They said neither my case was rejected nor approved. They asked me to upload additional documents which i did but still case is in AP

It depends upon the visa category. Which box was ticked on the white slip that was given to you? There is no certain answer for case status before getting the visa how many times it get changed.

Why is AP necessary for Pakistan? Even immigrant case is 100% Genuine.

Every case goes through AP. Administraive Processing can not be waived or expedited. ...could be days or months or over a year.

Some Pakistan cases tend to go through extended AP periods due to background checks.  I have read that PCCs are not trusted by the US Government.

In Pakistan it is hard to verify the veracity of documents.  Even the Pakistani Police Certificates are not accepted.

They did not tick any box . They just marked the required documents
