I-693 after Medical in Germany

Hello all,

 

I hope this is the last question before we can finally sleep in peace again.

 

I had my medical taken in Germany, but due to a missing shot, my vaccinations haven’t been approved on that exam.

 

Now I’m seeing a civil surgeon (from the list) and am curious about what he/I have to do.

 

Complete the full medical (X-ray, bloodwork...) again or just make him check the vaccinations?

 

If so, what should be marked on the I-693 or is there an other form he has to use?

Depends on the doctor. Many wont just sign off on the vaccines as they want to (and can) charge you for the whole thing. We cannot answer what kind of civil Surgeon you have chosen to visit. A nice one or a scrooge.

They will fill out the vaccination section of the I693 if that's what they allow. If not, a whole complete I693.

He filled out just the vaccination section and then went ahead and "copied" all other results over and put something to the words of "Used results from older examination in Germany - see attached" under the other things.

So if we send this new I-693 with the vaccination section along with the original medical, everything should be fine, right?

Id suggest you read the I693 instructions for the civil surgeons obligations to filling out the form.
