I could get my jabs for free, do not know how it works down under.

It was free for my now-husband in Australia. He couldn't get his records, so he opted to just get the vaccines ahead of time and take that documentation with him to his medical.  If he had waited to get them at the medical, it would have cost quite a bit.

Yeah that makes sense. I just thought better to try my best to obtain it if it is possible than pay a fee for him to receive a bunch of vaccines he's already had just because I couldn't find the documentation. Would rather save myself the money later on by doing a little digging now. Thanks for your advice.

Find others in your sub-forum and ask them what they have done for the vaccinations. I have seen others share different processes to meet the vaccinations in a less expensive manner then other ways. Go to the top of this page, in the blue ribbon select "Forums" and then scroll down the page about 3/4 to find links to your area or embassy. If you find something that works for you, why not return here and post your solution so others can read and maybe use your solution. Good luck.

For cheap vaccinations try to find a Red Cross or similar facility in your country. My wife used the Red Cross in Thailand and the vaccinations were extremely cheap there compared to at the medical exam. and she was able to get them all done before her medical exam ( Some are a series of 3 shots), to get her DS-3025 marked complete.

We are preparing everything for the medical exam coming up and I am missing documentation of a few vaccines. My partner previously emigrated to the US as a child around age 12 so he received any vaccinations he was missing then. Him and his mom both have no idea how to obtain these records, but I don't want him to needlessly get them again and have to pay for them when we know he's already had them. Does anyone have any tips on how I could possibly get this info? He doesn't remember any doctors he saw when living in the US for 10 years so I can't track it down that way. Does USCIS keep record of that sort of thing? Will they already know he's had the vaccines since he's technically already legally emigrated to the US in the past??

He's missing documentation for Hep A, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Rotavirus (which says its for young children), and Varicella (which he's had the chickenpox already). Are we better off having the blood tests done to show immunity to MMR and Varicella and then just getting the Hep A vaccine again?

Thanks!

Go the GP take the list of needles listed by CDC and get a blood test to prove positive for being immune, get flu shot and booster for TD if it’s due.... it’s only the cost of a GP visit..... take that to medical..

another option is check MYHEALTH web... all medical records inc vaccinations are now being transferred there.. unlikely childhood ones there but some that I had 10 years back were... the doc at medical will be more than aware of the shots we all get while in school etc..

also, see if he has a gov vaccination record card? I found mine and lists every needle I’ve had in the last 25 years with official stamps and dates etc..

Absolutely agree with this... go GP for $75 he’ll do bloods, find out what’s needed and give you any outstanding. And give you stamped signed documents to take to medical as proof.

Awesome thanks! He's only been back in Australia for a few years so we weren't very familiar with some of those things. This is very helpful! We'll check MyHealth and then schedule a GP appointment for whatever he needs before the medical. Thanks for the help!!
