Expediting right after case was received

Hello all,

My case was received on Thursday the second and I got a receipt number for AP, AOS and EAD with it. The next day I called USCIS and requested to expedite under financial hardship.

The agent asked me some questions and game me a receipt number for the expedition request. I have a job offer from a business that has been trying to hire someone for the position they have vacant right now, and for which I am perfectly qualified for.

I have yet to receive any email asking for any supporting documentation, but I just wanted to know if you think there's a good chance it will be accepted or not.

Thank you so much!!

This won't go anywhere as you haven't had your biometrics done yet. Biometrics precede anything else.

Also, you need to have more pressing "issues"  related to financial hardship other than a job offer letter to have your EAD be expedited,  many can get a job offer and anyone will ask you this: "Why should you be put in front of other people who have to wait for potentially over 7+ months?"

But not to worry, I haven't heard of there being a limit to how much you can ask for your EAD to be expedited (just don't harass them of course and next time don't just ask again, re clarify why you believe your case should be re evaluated) I recommend creating a cover letter explaining the reasons behind your request, proof of it, and visiting your congressman office with all the evidence to explain the situation & Ombudsman and your chances of success will be much higher.

Best of luck :)

Duh, read the post.

Have your documents ready to support your case when asked to fax. How good you chance is is impossible to say.

Is this financial loss?

Yeah, the company is missing out on business because they can't fill up that position. And well, obviously my savings are dwindling as well.

As noted, they cannot approve the expedite before biometrics are completed. Usually you request the expedite after biometrics, that way they can review and approve it together. They may deny the expedite based upon being unable to approve the application yet.

I see. My office doesn't take walk-in appointments, so I hope that the NOA1 comes soon and the appointment is not too far in the future.

Thank you!
