Hi,

Has anybody had issues traveling with the expired green card and the 18 month extension letter while your condition removal process is pending with the USCIS.

If anybody had an experience while coming back to US specially from Allama Iqbal Airport, Lahore that'd be really helpful. Are they familiar with that letter or is that going to be a problem?

My question is specifically about anyone's experience regarding the familiarity of that letter with the airport staff at Allama Iqbal Airport?

My wife just returned from a trip to Asia with her expired Green Card and extension letter....no issues at all.........I think most airlines are familiar with the extension letter.

No problem at all. My wife had been in the same situation at Lahore airport last year they saw her expired green card and asked for the extension letter and let her go without any problem.

There's a big thread on the first page of this sub-forum about this exact topic. And others have stated here that they traveled with expired green card + valid extension letter without any issues. It's not a issue. That's the purpose of the extension letter and it says right there that you maintain work and travel authorization.
