Hello lovely people of VJ, I come here once again to ask for your help (sorry for being so bothersome lol)

Recently we got a RFE because my husband does not meet the 125% poverty guideline for our household (long story, he meets them now but he hasn't been working for his current company for over 6 months)

We're not really worried because his parents can help us but here's where my questions come in:

1. Can we use both of his parents income to support our case or is just 1 enough/the only allowed thing? I've read that you can have 2 co sponsors but that unless the first one doesn't make enough either then you can have another co sponsor.

2. Does my husband have to send again an I 864 of his own? Or is it just the co sponsor this time around who sends an i-864?

3. If  the both of them can be used, does the other sponsor need to fill out i-864A? Or do they also fill out i-864A?

Thank you very much to anyone that replies, while we know that the situation is pretty much under control the whole thing is kinda nerve wracking as this could mean me not being able to stay here and other unpleasant scenarios...

Unless your other sponsors live with you, they are called joint sponsors.

Option 1: they live with the original sponsor.

Original sponsor fills out new I864 and includes the other 1 or 2 co-sponsors (called that because they live with) in Part 6 Qu 8 through 19. Then the 2 or 3 sponsor's income is COmbined (COmbined referring to CO-sponsor, "CO") in Part 6 Qu 20. 1 or 2 co-sponsors fill out an I864 EACH. 1 form per co-sponsor.

Option 2: they DO NOT all live together.

Original sponsor files i864. Because you got an RFE for this i STRONGLY suggest you check and recheck that you filled it correctly and provided the exact financial documents needed for your EXTREMELY specific financial situation. That alone could be a HUGE reason for the RFE. (You can input my name into the search bar along with "I864" and will see many times I have explained why).

Then ONE of your joint sponsor's files an I864. THAT Joint Sponsor's income goes in Part 6 Qu 7 and their Spouse is THEIR CO-sponsor and inputs THEIR income in Part 6 Qu 8 through 10. Then you add their combined income in Part 6 Qu 20 (joint sponsor plus spouse). The spouse then files an I864a.
