Visa sealed envelope question

Greetings,

Yesterday we picked up our visa from 2go in Davao! Yay!

It came in a sealed package, don't open and for immigration. But her passport is in there.

Is there something we're missing?

We took it to cfo in Davao because they needed to put the sticker, ect on the passport. They made a small cut and took out the passport, we recorded it of them doing it just to be safe.IMG-2f6628084c011a5d22e27a7df5761584-V__01.thumb.jpg.48b01d9ab840d6c94ad46c0d973964b9.jpg

Is there any issues? When she lands in America?

Thanks ! Happy New Year

No issues.  There is an outer envelope and an inner envelope.......Of course, the outer envelope must be opened to retrieve the passport.  The inner envelope marked "Do not open" must remain sealed until surrendering at POE.

Thank you, just wanted to be sure before we got the tickets.

The inner envelope is the original K1 petition that they will take from you in case you did not know what is inside.

Yes we did the CFO.  We have to go back between 10-12 anyday for the sticker and cert tho.  Pay the exit tax and wait on her diploma.

You can open the plastic . after all you do need the passport to travel  ;)

What you can NOT open is the manila envelope that is marked DO NOT OPEN , this you put in your carry-on luggage as it will be needed immediately at POE.

When you reach POE as you enter the immigration room ask the 1st agent you see (there is usually one at the entrance) which window you show go to for processing.

Thanks. She was just confused because it did come in another clear plastic which she opened, then there was a paper on top of this plastic saying do not open or attempt to open.

She is not the first to be a little uncertain,  nor will be the last

YMMV

For sure the embassy could be clearer on the enclosed instructions sheet.

All is good now :)
