I believe is just, the work load increase a lot, bear in mind that it is not only k1 visas they working on, and for interviews there are only 2 or 3 people at the embassy interviewing only for immigrant visas. That's what I notice when I had my interview

Yes and no, the CO said you'e aproved but you need to send a certify copy of the divorce decree, she kept my passport. So my husband went back and sent the document. Not a biggie, after sending the document took about 10 days to get to dhl.

Honestly, I was lucky to find this forum after I send the inicial petition, otherwise I'd have gone bananas. Horror stories from Colombia? I've read about Asian and African countries.

Embassies like Morocco (one year typically after an interview), Vietnam (lots of hoops to jump through after interview with no answers just more waiting and some are being denied), India (3-4 weeks sometimes 2-4 months) There are more.

Can I advise you to select your flag in your profile in the left column and near the top of the page about the center you will see a series of links use those to learn more. There other links on that page and I invite you to explore and you will be better educated as the links pertain to your embassy and not all the others. Comparing yourself to others from other embassies can only cause you stress. I advise it's best to stick to your country as that is the "real world".

I have not read anything bad about Colombia just in general

I have done that myself too, but out of curiosity. As long as you follow the instructions from USCIS, you shouldn't have any problem, this process is very easy. When filling the petition form, I did have no idea of this forum, did it all myself just with what I found on USCIS, and we did not have any issues.
