Joint Sponsor Biometric?

Timeline

The I134 says that USCIS “may require me to appear for an appointment to take my biometrics”. How common is this for either the I134 or the I864? I don’t have a problem with it, I just need to let my joint sponsor know that it’s a possibility.

Very uncommon. In fact, I think I've only seen one incident in the distant past where a petitioner had to do biometrics because he was suspected criminal and the USCIS wanted his fingerprints. Otherwise, no one ever gets called for the biometrics.

I learned the hard way, I hope YOU don't have to. Advice: learn, learn, learn.
