Chest X-ray when immigrating

My husband had his medical appointment today in London but was not given a copy of his chest x-ray. I see that when he actually immigrates he needs to carry a copy of his chest x-ray with him in his carry on. Does anyone know if/when the x-ray is provided or do we need to contact the doctor?

thanks!

No xray required to be carried in at the POE

That is confusing since it says "X-rays – Must be hand-carried with you, not packed in your luggage" on the travel.state.gov "after the interview" section. Thanks!

Sure, but the CBP runs the border checkpoint not the department of state.   Nobody will be asking for the xray

YMMV

Huh?  The question is about xrays being required to be shown at the border.

YMMV

I do recall the  notice my wife was sent in 2016 amusingly still mentioned the same thing about hand-carrying X-rays, but she was only given a CD copy of her imaging at SLEC in the Philippines following her medical, and I think she asked for it? She stuffed the CD in her carry on, but CBP didn’t ask for it at point-of-entry.

I went through the London embassy in late 2016. The X-ray CD was given to me at the interview avd I was advised it was a “souvenir of this whole experience”. I brought it with me but it was not asked for at the POE. It wasn’t even mentioned.

We got ours on a CD last year but nobody at the POE wanted it.
So we still have it.  Somewhere.

One of these days I'm going to blow the dust off my x-ray CD and see if I can look at the images.

I was given my CD in Aug 2016, and was never asked for it. It was in my "sealed" package, and was never looked at....not once.

What I miss most about Canada, in no particular order:

My family!

My friends!

KD!

Hawkins Cheezies!

Poutine!

Lays Ketchup Chips!

What I don't miss:

-40 degree weather
