That’s great news! What was the date of your last update? Mine has been stuck on ready to schedule since Oct 21st,2020

Oct 21 as well. It all depends on your local office it seems.

One thing worth noting is that our processing time is line with the I-485 processing for Santa Ana (our local office), so it might be worth looking that up for your office to get some idea.

Hello all,

I have applied to Removal of Conditions in January 2020. My 2 year green card was to expire on January 2020 and with the I-797 was extended 18 months.

Now my 18 month extension is due to expire on July 2021 and I still haven't been scheduled for an interview. What can I do at this point?

You wait for your case to be adjudicated until 30 days or less before your extension letter expires. You can then call USCIS and make an appointment to get an i551 stamp in your passport. That will provide proof of your continued LPR status while you continue to wait for your i751 to be approved for up to an additional year.

Note your LPR status does not expire when your extension letter expires only proof of your continued legal permanent residence status expires with a pending i751.

You only need proof of your LPR status if you travel outside USA, need to renew a diver’s license, or start a new job.

K1 Visa Arrived USA July 2017

AOS Approved July 2018

Filed for i751 joint application May 2020

Fingerprints reused October 2020, and February 2021 and June 2021 (Yes 3 fingerprint notices)

Case move to National Benefits Center December 2020 for quicker processing from California Service Center

Oct 2021 out of processing time inquiry made, response May 5th 2022 that our i751 case will be addressed at our n400 interview

Combo interview May 16th 2022, in Sacramento

Approved June 08, 2022

Thank you so much for this information! You wouldn’t happen to know if you can make a I-551 appointment prior to 30 days before the expiration of the 18 month period would you? As a teacher I’m needing to renew licenses and it’s proving difficult with my extension expiring in September. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

You can get a stamp at any time if you have a pressing need for one, like if you lose your conditional green card. It is up to USCIA weather or not to give you an appointment due to COVID they are being restrictive about issuing appointments requiring proof that you need a stamp (proof of travel out of USA, driver licenses renewal, or for a new job).

So, if you can prove a need for the stamp to USCIS; they will issue a stamp.

@da95826, I realize that USCIA is a typo, though it made me laugh 😆

I called USCIS today and they said the case is transferred to NBC!

That means they probably want to interview you. Though, there is still a chance that the NBC may waive the interview. They've done it on occasion for others.

I received a letter from USCIS today with the following message

' We completed the preliminary review of your case and as part of standard processing we are transferring your case to the following service center - NBC, Lee's Summit, MO'

Does this means interview for sure or something else like background checks and other issues because they said they completed the preliminary review. I submitted tons of evidence when i filed ROC.
