I can show you mine if you would like, but I didn't end up having to submit it (and it was requested from overseas) so I'm not sure how helpful that would be.

Did you include a scan of the back of the report? I almost missed that when I was scanning mine and I wouldn't put it past the NVC to give a completely wrong reason for rejection.

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

A couple of Aussies have shown me theirs that were approved, they’re identical to mine.. I submitted front and back.. uploading / format etc wasn’t the issue.. they’re saying it’s literally the wrong one.. 🤷‍♀️

I called AFP, they say it’s the correct one and I checked US consulate site, still correct..

I went the local police yesterday, got my fingerprints taken and have now ordered all available types of AFP certificates (3, inc biometrics) and have decided to upload all three types in a couple of weeks once I receive them so they can bloody well pick which one they want..

it’s really annoying, I’ve never had so much as a speeding fine, to have to keep doing this, when they are clearly correct and show no records of history and knowing they’ll do biometrics as part of the process is a bloody joke!

if they decline them again, I’ll likely go insane... this will be 5 Fed Police Certificates saying nil history given to them since applying in 2018... hate this process! No wonder people are pushed to the point of breaking the rules and jumping boarders...  it will be June now by the time I upload, they review and I get my interview.... 😭

AOS Journey

  • I-485 etc filed 23 April 2020
  • NOA1 I-485 June 3 2020
  • NOA1 EAD 23 April 2020

I am very sorry to hear this as well. I have great empathy for all the suffering that wears us all down during this process. But hang in there! This is just a bump on the road! It WILL get approved!

I am just catching up with this and I am really sorry to hear about this BS :( - I just wanted to point / ask one thing. Here in the UK our background document has to be once specific to immigration - it's not a typical police background certification. I am not sure if that is what you have or there is another issue at play but I hoped perhaps it might help if it was something like that.
