The first time I printed only the signature page and organized it in the PDF. But I didn't pay attention to the other fields that were editable. This time I didn't want to make a mistake so I scanned all the pages but also managed to save the whole PDF as uneditable and scanned only the signature page. I'd like to know how you did it.

My husband filled the form on computer, then printed it, signed with ink and scanned the whole form

Thanks to Alix64 I'm joining you all on the NVC side!! :D

So we got our NOA2 today - Jan 17 2020 - I have been watching videos and trying to ready myself with knowledge but I think the very first 2 question I have to ask, my petitioner can be the agent from start to finish and will he need any documents from me so I can start shipping that stuff to him.

Wonderful to be at the next stage!

Matt

You don't have to choose an agent anymore, and both petitioner and beneficiary can sign in to upload and submit documents. Check this link with all NVC instructions step by step :) (just ignore the choose an agent part)https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html

On step 5 you can see the documents needed from you the beneficiary, and you only need to scan them, the petitioner doesn't need the originals so no need to ship anything to him. The beneficiary will need the originals of some documents for the interview though (but that's for later)

Hello everybody. We have received our NOA2 December 13th. However letter from NVC stated that we have benefitted from pilot program and were approved faster than usual. Notice said that it will take longer than 30 days to send our file to NVC (30 days were back January 13).
We are still waiting for another letter. Wonder how long it will take

Well, actually, I was expecting that answer. We're Brazilians and my husband is an American's son. However, he never lived in the United States until 2019 when we decided to embark on this adventure. So he had no tax returns in previous years. Even though he made a lot of money of what they ask, I believe that because he did not have his taxes declared yet, he was not accepted and now we will need a co sponsor. That's bad because we'll have to ask for help, he has no relatives there. Another reason is because they didn't accept my Brazilian certificate because it has a new model and they said it is not accepted. So I'm going to send a very old one that I already had before I made a new one. And the silliest mistake I made was sending the I184 in an editable way. I feel dumb about this mistake but I'm already fixing it. I did it all by myself and I confess it was a lot for me the moment I sent it. On the other hand the other documents were accepted including the statement of why he has no tax yet. This all served as an apprenticeship and they are fixable. We will move on from here!

Hang in there! We'll all get through this eventually. :)

Guys, I have a question. I've scanned every page of the form to prevent it from being editable. I'm a little insecure about this format, though. Should I scan only the signature page and organize the PDF or scan all the pages?

How did you have an editable PDF with an ink signature? How did you upload it the first time?

A PDF is only editable when you first download it. If you hit Print and then save as a PDF it won't be editable anymore. Or if you print out the whole thing then scan it all it won't be editable.

Editable means they can go into the form and change things. So if you open the file and can still manipulate the information then it's editable.

Keep it simple, print off the whole thing and then scan it again and you'll be fine. Just make sure it's under 2mb.

I did the same as what @canadavisa22 did. Can confirm it works and docs had no issue when NVC looked at them. Use the print to PDF option when "printing" your document. Windows 10 should have it there (listed in the printer selection as Microsoft Print to PDF), no need to install new stuff.

It's ready! I feel insecure now after my mistakes the first time, so I'm turning to you guys in even the simplest doubt. Thanks, I'll do it this way.  🙏

Hi LilyJ

Our second submission took much longer than the first. Please be prepared for that. Our second submission was accepted very close to the dates that NVC publishes on their site. Consider anything before that lucky but do not expect it to be as fast as the first one. Of course, I hope it is.

Mr. & Mrs T, I lost access to my old account. I have the exact dates as you, +- 1 day from i-130 to NVC received to NVC resubmission (11/18). It's crazy we"re like twins.

I just got my DQ today. After almost 2 month - 1 day of waiting of waiting on my resubmission.  I hope you get DQ soon, (today or early next week).

Good Luck

I réalise now that you resubmit way before me .
they reviewed me on 11/18 but I was able to resubmit only on 12/02 😕

I suppose I will have to wait again 15 days ..
