Yes, I took the number from the NOA2 and the USCIS website did say to wait until visa approval, and I was very impulsive but I was so excited to see that it took the data.

That's great. One less thing to deal with down the road.

For Nigeria, what they did this month was that they scheduled/sent ILs on 1/14 for CR1/IR1 and then sent ILs on 1/23 for other categories such as F3,F4, F2A etc, because I think slots were still open, but they didn't send CR1/IR1 on 1/23. That's not scheduling all month on my opinion. @stech786

same for islamabad embassy

Dang i see your 2 year anniversary is in June. He has 6 months to enter if he enters on or after that date you will get the 10 year green card and no need to adjust status in 2 years.

But waiting 6 months is kind much, but thought I would put it out there.

Yea, he had suggested waiting until July to come so he’d get the 10 year greencard, but I shot that down. I’ve been really struggling to manage everything alone. I’m working full time, doing my masters (1 credit short of full time), teaching, and everything normally required of people (cooking, cleaning, etc.). I also have medical procedures that need done, but I don’t wanna do them till he’s here. It was suppose to be done last year. So for me, those 3 months having him here are more valuable than the price of the ROC and 10 year card. Plus he can find a job and start earning money within that 3 months. The cost is a non-factor. It’s slightly inconvenient to have to do ROC, but honestly after all we’ve been through I don’t mind it one bit. I just want him home next to me 😭😭😭

Amen. I hear you. ROC isn't really that bad. Living together finally under one roof is so much more valuable and important.

No it won't. It hasn't gone into effect. It has to be voted on. Even when it goes into effect it won't involve immigration visa types. Thanks for your reply, how are we sure it wont affect the immigrants visa, seems that's actually their target. Are they still going to vote on it if he uses his executive order ?
