Spouse's Interview date has also been confirmed. Just got the email 5 minutes ago.  Both wife and stepdaughter to interview Feb 25 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Hi! Do you know if NVC is still scheduling interviews for the Dominican Republic? I see people have been waiting for a long time, ours seem to be the slowest consulate 😭 and also my peers does not seem to update much on their status here on VJ

Well today was my day of join. 19 months and 2 days ago we filed for Removal of conditions and still waiting. 247 days ago we file for his citizenship. Today we just got update that his Citizenship interview is scheduled. Wooowhoooo. So happy.

 

Them emotions are something else for sure I so remember those days and I was living with him in Nigeria for 6 months during the process. So I so understand all of what you are feeling and going through.

Who Pays the Fee

We strongly encourage you to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee after you pick up your immigrant visa from the Department of State and before you depart for the United States.

If you cannot pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee, a family member, friend, employer, attorney, or accredited representative can pay for you. If someone pays the fee for you, they will need your Alien Number (A-Number) and Department of State (DOS) Case ID.

You may also pay the fee after you arrive in the United States. If you choose this option, we will send you a notice requesting payment with instructions on paying your fee. You will not receive your Green Card until you have paid the USCIS Immigrant Fee.

Exemptions

The following groups do not have to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee:

• Children who enter the United States under the orphan or Hague adoption programs;
• Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants;
• Returning lawful permanent residents (SB-1s); and
• K nonimmigrants.

Yes they always will say that because people forget your choice to pay when you want you have a year to do it. Not really a big deal.
