Called NVC today (Nigeria)(though I figured scheduling for February was done based on the trends and number of interviews scheduled already on 1/14 alone). The lady says “we don’t answer questions regarding if we are still scheduling for a certain month or embassy”. I know she’s lying from experience. ANYWAY, she did manage to tell me that my case was “next in line to be scheduled”. CC 12/24. Patiently waiting on this date so I can request time off work and book this expensive flight! 😩

You mean your status says READY? If so you have interview date. Either wait for letter or call NVC and get it so you can start planning. Congratulations.

Where can I check for Ready State ?    It says Case currently at location and Interview Location,

I will call NVC to find out the actual status.

@Mrs Akintomide, I just checked. Your visa category is IR/CR. From my findings NVC is yet to schedule interviews for F categories and they still have the last 10 days in February. They scheduled interviews up till February 20th.

Just requested an early interview as per the instructions provided by @dwheels76 via @TeaCup

We just got the medical results so figured it was perfect time to do it.

Fingers crossed!!

P.S. Does anyone know if my wife will be required to pay any visa fees upon approval at the Embassy? I know there's a green card fee that you pay online after. But I was reading somewhere that someone had to pay a fee at the embassy. Or is that just if you go direct with the consulate and don't pay via NVC?? Thanks guys!

I feel your pain! The wait is certainly brutal, especially the closer you get to the finish line! It will come soon!

Oh no it's because they told us our interview date and time over the phone but for me to complete the medical I need the IL lol and the ID is Feb 3 so we don't have much time. It's like everything coming together in a mad rush but I don't mind

Oh wow! That's cutting it close! Just FYI, with our medical, they told us it would be ready in 10 days but it actually only took 5 days to get the results! So with that in mind you still have time... but yeah... now I get it! The mad rush is just for the course I suppose! Good luck!!
