Calling you know does anything unless you are calling to see if they have started scheduling for Jamaica yet and if they have is February now closed for Jamaica? Be specific about your embassy.

 

You will not get what DQ date they are on, how many are in front of you, how many slots for the month.  So up to you if you want to call. I haven't seen nor heard anything about Jamaica so I doubt they have started.

Nope. u should already have checked the steps to get ready for interview. I would check the website or check here on VJ what you do. There really isn't much to do but print your letter and go do your medical.

The rest is up to you to prepare yourself for your interview.

@Avdoholgirl could you fill out your timeline?  It will help with the statistics you're looking for.  We don't gain insight without people having their timelines filled out.

Because there probably alot of people before you. Because things slowed down for every embassy during the holidays now things pick up.

You have to realize there's hundreds of people a month scheduled just for IR1/CR1 immigration

I called NVC last friday because I have not received IL as yet and was told my case is complete, there is a visa available for me and I have to await scheduling of interview (which I knew).

First contacting the embassy is a waste since they don;t have your case.

 

No one can answer  the "How long does it usually take for NVC to get scheduling slots from the embassy so that the file can then be forwarded?" and that's because we our on the outside we have no idea when each embassy sends their calendar to NVC. When they do NVC starts scheduling.

Did you ask NVC have they started scheduling for your embassy? And if they have started have they completed scheduling. That's what you ask.

Also you aren't in the immediate relative category and every embassies has select slots for each category. Like some embassies for a certain month will not schedule say a F2A or F3. It might be the next month being current has nothing to do with embassy scheduling. All you can do is wait. Sorry.

it could be fast or slow. i have seen it happen with a few months. Just depends on the embassy. If you are a Australian citizen didn't you already submit your Police report? If you are a citizen you can interview there.

No one can say if the wait is faster since NVC has to contact Sydney then they schedule you and all that. Like i said it can take a few months or it can maybe be faster.

Actually it's F2B since you are over 21. Had to do alot of guessing since you have no information for me to complete you on spreadsheet.

Not at all. Scheduling is embassy specific according to their scheduling slots. DQ and PD date's matter.

Where are you suppose to registered? Are those instruction in the IL email? I read something about carrier service
